Our Founder and Owner

Dr. Samaiyah Scott has worked in Higher Education for over 15 years. Samaiyah received scholarships, fellowships, and grants at the undergraduate and graduate levels throughout her educational career. While an undergraduate, Samaiyah was awarded over 20 different scholarships! Samaiyah was fully funded during graduate school and received several grants and awards to fund her education and research. That’s right, Dr. Scott earned three degrees for FREE!

Samaiyah is fortunate to be student loan debt-free because of the scholarship application method she has perfected throughout her time as a student, advisor, and consultant.

Samaiyah founded Dr. Scholarship to extend her ability to help more schools, non-profit organizations, students, and families achieve the dream of earning a college degree. Dr. Scholarship Guide LLC was founded to educate students, educators, and parents on the best practices for choosing suitable college options and applying for multiple scholarships, grants, and fellowships to fund a student’s higher education pursuits. 

Dr. Scholarship offers workshops, motivational speaking, student workbooks, and scholarship organizers. The methods that Dr. Scott perfected can be utilized universally, which means that schools, PTAs, non-profit organizations, churches, and youth groups are ideal for the workshops and products.

Dr. Scott is a graduate of Paine College and the University of Memphis. She has worked as a program director, project manager, college professor, college admissions counselor, chair of diversity, equity & inclusion, and program assistant for the office of institutional advancement and undergraduate to graduate school programs.

Samaiyah is a proud Army wife and mother of three!
